Japanese Green Tea Risotto

This Ochazuke is the dish in Japanese cuisine and it is an extremely simple dish to prepare. We used salmon as topping but you can use many different ingredients for toppings. It is also a very popular way of ending an informal meal.

Ochazuke - Hot cooked white rice and green tea

Ingredients

serving 4
  • grilled salmon 1pound(seasoning with salt & pepper)
  • green tea
  • plain rice 2cup

Direction

  1. Wash the rice thoroughly by swishing it around in a bowl of cold water, draining and repeating the action 3-4 times
  2. Drain and leave for a 30minutes before cooking if you don't have a rice cooker
  3. Put the rice in a cooker and add water until there is slightly more water than rice.
  4. Serve when it is hot.
